Chemistry is the study of matter and it’s different properties, identification, and reactivity. In most first year chemistry courses, students learn about physical and chemical properties, elements, ions, molecules, compounds, solids, liquids, gases, solutions, types of chemical reactions stoichiometry, thermochemistry, thermodynamics, atomic history, organic chemistry, nuclear chemistry and sometimes much more.

To be the most successful in chemistry, students will need to memorize terminology and master problem solving with different concepts. While there is substantial math throughout most courses, most of it in chemistry is basic arithmetic and algebra.

Chemistry tutoring lessons will focus on building the student’s problem solving skills, practicing chemistry problems and exams so that students will gain confidence and knowledge leading to success in their chemistry class.

Tutoring lessons will be student driven and last between 50 minutes and one hour.
