Biology is the study of the mechanisms of life. In other words, it describes they ways in which living things survive and reproduce. Biology can get complicated and usually requires students to learn a huge amount of material.

In most first year biology courses, students learn about evolution and natural selection, ecology, the scientific method, cell anatomy, biological macromolecules, cellular respiration, anaerobic respiration, photosynthesis, cell division, meiosis, Mendelian genetics, molecular genetics, biotechnology, human biology and physiology and much more.

To be the most successful in biology, students will need to memorize an incredibly large amount of terminology and master complicated molecular, cellular, organismal and ecological concepts.

Biology tutoring lessons will focus on building the student’s knowledge and confidence regarding difficult biological concepts so that the terminology makes sense.

Tutoring lessons will be student driven and last between 50 minutes and one hour.
